Swami Vivekananda short story










Swami Vivekananda is one of the greatest religious heroes and social reformers of India. He is called the cyclonic monk in India. He had a patriotic Spirit. He is born on January 12,1863 in north Kolkata. His father's name was Biswanath Datta who was a pleader and his mother Bhubaneswari Devi, was pious lady. In his childhood, he was affectionately  called biley. His real name was Narendra nath Datta. He was spirited from childhood. From his very childhood, Narendra was an  extraordinary boy. His favorite game was meditation. In meditation would sit cross legged with hand on lap and his eyes closed. His early education started at Metropolitan school in Kolkata. He was bright student at school and in college. He passed the B.A examination with honours in philosophy. He also passed a F.A examination from the Calcutta university in 1881, in the first division. He had strong curiosity for God and religion and this was satisfied only after his contact with Sir Ramakrishna and become his disciple. He became Sannyasi and got the new name Swami Vivekananda.
